CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

KICKBOXING - An intense workout of punching, kicking, running and other boxing training techniques lead by our professional boxer. Beginners welcome.

CARDIO INTERVAL - This interval style class combines cardio exercises interspersed with muscle conditioning exercise for a complete and total body workout.

DANCE FIT – All the components of a regular fitness class with dance moves and combinations for a cardio portion. You’ll be having so much fun; you won’t realize you’re working out.

POWER ABS - Will return in Sept. Are you tired of the same old abdominal routine?  Intense conditioning abs and power abs, are classes of different lengths that will challenge you with innovative abdominal and back exercises (core).  These classes are results-oriented, challenging and for everyone.

PILATES - This class focuses on using the muscles of the core and the breath to lengthen and strengthen the muscles.  Good for all participants.

Extreme 90X - NEW!   New class, new you! This class is a revolutionary workout based on cross training. Doing the same workouts can cause your fitness level to plateau. With Extreme 90X classes, you will see results quickly as we push your body and introduce new programs weekly. Extreme 90 X classes will include plyometrics, muscle conditioning, cardiovascular training, abs and much, more!

SPINNING - Instructor led, indoor cycling is an exciting sport-based workout that challenges you for both endurance and speed with simulated racing techniques, hills, valleys and all kinds of obstacles to overcome.  Spinning is suitable for all fitness levels and a great calorie burner!

CARDIO BLAST - NEW:  A true cardio workout! NOT FOR THE FAINT AT HEART! Each week experience difference ways to achieve cardiovascular fitness – hi – lo impact, kickboxing, skipping, step, plyometrics – anything goes!   Finish off this cardio challenge with a stretch conditioning component and stretch! Come out and sweat!

TOTAL BODYSCULPT - This is a weight training class.  The entire body is worked with a variety of hand weights, bands, tubing, body bars and stability balls.  Proper technique and form is emphasized to ensure safety and body awareness. It’s like personal training in a group setting!

ZUMBA  - This class consists of Zumba (Latin dance cardio) + basic dance training (variety between Latin & ballroom) with a small cool down/stretch at the end. If you like dancing, you will love this class.

20/20/20 - NEW:  Three great workouts in one class! Class will be divided in to three challenging components of your favorite cardio moves, followed by overall muscle conditioning, finishing with an abs blast! Get in on this great class!

VINYASA FLOW (YOGA): For all levels of fitness seeking to develop mind, body and spirit connection through a series of postures flowing within a sun salutation yinyasa. You will also learn how to connect with your breath, calm your mind and reduce stress through pranayama (breathing). Class ends with a rejuvenating savasana (self meditation). Please bring your own mat and get ready to sweat!

YIN YOGA: First Sunday of every month: Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower Spine.

CLASS ETIQUETTE

  • Entering a class in progress is not recommended. If you are late, check with the instructor to see if you can join in. Do not enter a class before the current class is finished.
  • Appropriate footwear and exercise attire must be worn in the classroom at all times.
  • Please set up and put away your equipment before and after each class.
  • It is recommended that you bring a towel and water bottle.
  • Classes are a GROUP ACTIVITY. We request that you follow the instructor’s routine. Intensity levels can be modified but “doing your own thing” can be disruptive to the class.
  • In consideration for other members, no cell phones in the studio and we request that pagers are on silent mode.
Be considerate of other Member’s exercise space. Please do not crowd a Member who has entered a class before you. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments regarding the group fitness schedule, please contact Elaina Bahm, Group Fitness Coordinator.
